12 Days of Christmas Thrifty Style- Day Six

SEVEN DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

On the sixth day of Christmas, my crazy life gave to me...

A reminder of how cheesy my family is.
And how adorable I used to be.
And how my mom's smile is still the same.
And how my dad still has the same mustache.
And how I'm sitting inside of a box.

P.S. My sister's glasses were too cool.

P.P.S. I distinctly remember taking this picture because I had taken my dress's skirt and placed it outside the box, because in my six year old mind it was genius.  However, the photographer was very adamant that my dress didn't look good covering up her gold wrapping job.  Well, bah humbug!

Stay true, stay real.

EIGHT DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

On the fifth day of Christmas, my crazy life gave to me...

...two beautiful views...

....

I now have a great gift idea for my couple friends as well.
You're welcome in advance.

12 Days of Christmas Thrifty Style- Day Four

NINE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

On the fourth day of Christmas, my crazy life gave to me...

A long lost treasure.
This will forever make me laugh every time I look at it.

Yellow snow.
This could be pop, but I highly doubt it.

And last but not least, some sound advice from my one and only mother.
Thanks, ma.

Stay true, stay real.

12 Days of Christmas Thrifty Style- Day Three

TEN DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

On the third day of Christmas, my crazy life gave to me...

...a lovely morning in bed watching A Christmas Story!
Because no good morning starts without a kid getting his tongue stuck to a pole.

And now time for a little story.

There once were two lovely ladies who meandered off into the world of Costco.
They'd heard of the bargains they could find because of the land Americano.

A dainty family greeted them at the door, which made for delight in their eyes.
But soon the chaos that was waiting inside might make them change their minds.

"How many crabs do you want?" they asked, as we walked by the seafood aisle.
But our eyes weren't on such lively things, we were looking out for a donut pile.

I don't know about you, but pancakes are the best.
With a name like Krusteaz for buttermilk bliss, who could try and resist?

As we waited in line to buy our products, this baby caught my vision.
Little did I know, when our eyes met, she would be a hissin'.

Our purchases may seem quite small, but don't you dare be fooled.
Once everything was all packed up, our shoulders and backs got schooled.

Here's a snapshot of the people waiting in line.
Even though I'm labeled an adult, this crowd didn't fail to make me whine.

If this face doesn't convince you of the crazed chaos we experienced,
then you, my friend, have never shopped for items that were clearenced.

A deserving slice of pizza was eaten at last,
because, well, we were hungry....

In the end, we were experiencing some weariness,

but we're both still a handful of cute, even if we're delirious.

So, as this little story comes to an end, let's all take a moment to ponder.
If I hadn't gone to Costco today, you wouldn't get to see me in all my beautiful wonder.

Stay true, stay real.

12 Days of Christmas Thrifty Style- Day Two

ELEVEN DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

On the second day of Christmas, my crazy life gave to me...

5 miles.
(But I'm secretly telling myself it was 8 since that's what the treadmill told me....in kilometers)

Naturally, I've decided to train for a half marathon during this holiday season, because that's reasonable.  Right?  When this race is going to happen, I have no clue.  But train I will.

Self Portraits in the Snow

A stroll down a snowy sidewalk.

A Christmas concert full of Peter Pan, The Lion King, adorable sheep, wolves, frogs, and so much more...

Quality time with these two seamstresses...

...and a trooper.  Keep hangin' in there, buddy.
Stay true, stay real.

12 Days of Christmas- Thrifty Style

Because Christmas approaching in twelve days, I've yet again decided to document "treats" life presents me in these days leading up to the 25th.

Without further ado, feast your eyes on day one.

On the first day of Christmas, my crazy life gave to me-- a glorious night of Meet Me in St. Louis (best Christmas movie) and a glass of wine.  Plus, a gift in the form of Aloe Juice from one of my favorite kids!

Not a bad first day, if I do say so myself.
Stay tuned for the next 11 days!

P.S. Christmas is in 11 days...basically!

Stay true, stay real.

A Saturday in Insadong

Best waffle/butter/honey experience.
I don't know why I look confused.

Loveyou.

Feline wearing a scarf.  Typical.

Graffiti.

Love bridge.

Red bean poop.

Short but sweet.

For you, Megan Bee.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Really?  I had no idea.  Now, because of you, bag, I know.

My new hat.

Art.

An American feast.  Kind of.

Stay true, stay real.
