Easter in Amarillo

Happy Easter everyone.  Let me start by saying Amarillo is far away.  Really, horribly boring drive.  BUT two people, whom I love dearly, reside there, so I must make travels every so often.

So, here's to spending quality family time in Amarillo with my sister and brother-in-law.
OH, and you can't forget precious Benny Boy!

A friendly game of darts, which I came to find out I'm absolutely terrible at.

Easter wouldn't be complete with out dyed eggs.

My Benny Boy is getting so big.  I'm a proud aunt.

Brace yourself, it's sister photo shoot time.
(be grateful I didn't post them all)

Shoes: $16- Ross
Dress: $17- Ross
Sunglasses: $5- Charlotte Rousse
Bad ass attitude: Priceless

^^love^^

My big splurge.  I paid $25 at Target for this.
I was a bit hesitant and waiting a while for it to go on sale, but it never happened.
I plan to wear it until the gold turns to rust.

And in this moment, we all loved each other.

Family motto: "To be great is to be misunderstood." -RWE

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter, and spent it with the ones you love most.

Stay true, stay real.

Deals upon deal upon deals

GOODBYE SPRING BREAK

HELLLOOOOOO, LOTS OF CUTE CLOTHES.

I have been in the market looking for a nice leather jacket for the past 2 months now.  I know, I know, I have a lot of clothes that I'm "in the market" for, BUT clothes are a kind of weakness for me-- if you hadn't noticed.

I found an amazing Max Studio Ivory Faux Leather jacket (originally $100) at Marshall's but wasn't sure if I was willing to spend $50.  While on vacation in Mississippi (not a great vacation spot, fyi), I saw the jacket at TJ Maxx and wellllll, I gave in and spent the mulah, and I couldn't be happier about it!

Here is a pic of my great aunt and I, while I'm wearing my jacket.
(My hair is lookin' a bit rough. What can ya do?)

When you want to buy something that's more expensive, but definitely worth your money, it's always good to think about it so you know that it's the exact look, style, color, etc. you want!

In two months I'll be in South Korea.
Eeeeeeeeeeeee.

Stay true, stay real.

Nerves

Only a little over 2 months left before I embark on my year abroad!

I'm nervous.  I'm excited.  I feel not ready.

There seems to be so many things that I need to get done, and I'm sitting here all like....

Circa: 2008

I have 2 months to get my ducks in a row.  Here it goes.
(any motivational words you have for me, leave them to yourself; I'm too busy freaking out)

P.S. I'm contemplating a vlog for when I'm in South Korea.
Promising idea or just wishful thinking?

Stay true, stay real.

I'm moving...

to INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA!

(surprise)

I'm super excited and I can't wait.  I've been told there are no thrift stores, so the blog is going to take a turn once I'm there.  BUT since I'll be in Korea, I'm sure there will be plenty of other things to chat about.

I'll be going to teach English to the littles, meanwhile, I'll keep you all updated on fashion, food, and fun things I experience!

I leave in May, but I'll get plenty of thrifty rendezvous out of my system before then!

Stay true, stay real.
